Three-dimensional warehouse are revolutionizing warehouse operations, and HERO Intelligent is driving the intelligent upgrading of industry logistics.
Three-dimensional warehouse, also known as automated storage or intelligent warehouses, represents a new type of warehouse model distinct from traditional flat-floor warehouses. By constructing multi-tiered shelving systems, Three-dimensional warehouse expands storage capacity from horizontal to vertical space. Within facilities of three-dimensional warehouse , multi-tiered shelves are neatly arranged, and stackers can navigate aisles with precision to perform storage and retrieval operations; pallets and containers circulate orderly under the coordination of the conveying system, while the management system acts as the “brain,” using computer software to centrally control equipment, ensuring automated inbound/outbound operations and real-time inventory monitoring, making warehouse management transparent and efficient.
HERO Intelligent has accumulated extensive practical experience in the implementation of three-dimensional warehouse. In collaboration with a cosmetics packaging company, HERO Intelligent developed a semi-finished product three-dimensional warehouse system for them. The project is located in a temperature-controlled clean environment, with a total height of 5.6 meters, featuring 8,136 storage locations, and equipped with intelligent devices such as dual-reach stackers and conveyors.
The combination of high-rise three-dimensional rack and dual-reach stackers significantly enhance vertical space utilization in the warehouse; the collaborative operation of intelligent logistics equipment enables Three-dimensional warehouse of semi-finished products and rapid circulation, significantly improving operational efficiency while reducing labor costs. Utilizing RFID technology, the system automatically reads semi-finished product entry and exit information, enhancing both data accuracy and operational efficiency. The application of AGVs enables automated distribution between the three-dimensional warehouse, and production/packaging workshops, improving distribution efficiency and operational safety while reducing manual transportation costs. Additionally, the system seamlessly integrates with the MES system, providing real-time data updates and feedback to support informed business decisions.
From an industry applicability perspective, the application scope of automated warehouses is extensive. In the manufacturing sector, automotive, electronics, and machinery manufacturing companies deal with a wide variety of raw materials and components that require frequent turnover. Three-dimensional warehouse can significantly optimize supply chain management. In the fast-moving consumer goods (FMCG) and food and beverage industries, where there are numerous SKUs and large batch sizes, and high requirements for sorting efficiency, three-dimensional warehouse is an optimal choice for warehouse optimization. In the pharmaceutical and chemical industries, where strict temperature, humidity, and batch management requirements are in place, three-dimensional warehouse can reduce human error and ensure product quality and safety. In the logistics and e-commerce sectors, third-party logistics companies must handle goods from multiple clients and categories. During e-commerce promotional periods, order volumes surge, highlighting the advantages of three-dimensional warehouse's high throughput capacity and flexible scheduling capabilities. In the cold chain industry, three-dimensional warehouse provides stable temperature-controlled environments for fresh produce and pharmaceuticals, reducing energy consumption while minimizing manual operations.
