On December 12, 2021, the construction of the National Sichuan Tibet Railway Technology Innovation Center (Chengdu) project was launched by Xinglong Lake in Tianfu New Area. Guided by national strategic orientation and strategic needs, focusing on the construction and operation engineering needs of the Sichuan Tibet Railway, adhering to the mission of breaking through key core technologies and realizing the industrialization of major scientific and technological innovation achievements, focusing on tasks such as construction, environmental protection, disaster prevention, equipment development, and operation management of the Sichuan Tibet Railway, building a technology innovation platform, organizing major scientific and technological breakthroughs and technical solution demonstrations, constructing a full chain service system such as big data intelligent support, inspection and testing, and consulting and training, promoting the transformation of innovative achievements, and striving to create a world railway innovation highland.

This project is mainly used for the automatic storage and handling of geological property rock cores, with a height of 8.5 meters, covering an area of about 4500 square meters, and 6612 storage locations. It adopts WMS+WCS+digital twin system for management, with a cargo unit of 0.9mx1.2mx0.79 meters, including 6 double depth stacker cranes, 1 set of in/out system, 2 laser forklift AGVs, 6 axis robots+3D vision, and 6612 storage locations.
